About Me

A life-long product of Catholic education, I have been at St. Joseph’s School since 1997. I began my career in Catholic education in elementary school as a student at St. Thomas the Apostle in Irondequoit.  From an early age I was attracted to the life of the Catholic schoolteacher. After graduating from Bishop Kearney High School, I attended St. Bonaventure University, I majored in education. Following college I was pulled back to Rochester where I earned my Masters from Nazareth College and taught at Guardian Angels, as well as my alma mater, St. Thomas the Apostle.  After staying home to raise my two children I returned to teaching at St. Joseph School.. I am an active member of the SJS faculty specializing in fund raising, curriculum, and the mentorship of emerging teachers. I am also committed to the faith-based mission of St. Joseph’s and serve as a Eucharistic minister.

I have spent most of my teaching career in First Grade.  I strive to make my classroom a warm and welcoming place to learn.  My belief is learning should be fun.  My classroom is full of laughter and learning...it's the perfect combination!

Teaching kids to count is fine, but teaching them what counts is best.
